Join A Committee


All members in good standing should consider participating on a CCGG Committee. Not only can you contribute your ideas and expertise to move the goals of CCGG forward, you also build relationships with your colleagues in gerontology and geriatrics Statewide. Student members can gain valuable experience and skills, while creating a professional network.


Annual Meeting Development Committee

Broaden your fundraising knowledge and skills by helping CCGG secure funds for student scholarships and our annual meeting.

Association Development Committee

Augment your grant writing skills by helping CCGG identify grant support and by writing infrastructure and association project grants.

Awards Committee

Discover individuals doing outstanding things in the field of aging and help select several categories of award winners.

Education Planning Committee

  • Develop essential program planning skills by helping plan our annual educational program.
  • Assist in developing program content and format, speaker selection, and onsite implementation.

Finance Committee

  • Learn about projecting budgets and developing annual financial reports.
  • The Finance Committee has a set membership determined by the organizational Bylaws. The members of this committee are not elected.

Legislative/Policy Committee

Expand your knowledge of California policy and legislation, while supporting CCGG in our efforts to improve the quality of higher education in gerontology and geriatrics in California.

Membership & Marketing Committee

  • Increase your marketing knowledge and skills.
  • Develop grassroots membership and marketing campaign strategies.
  • Help design new membership products and services for traditional and non-traditional CCGG members with various professional affiliations.
