Mark Robinson, M.D.Mark is the Campus Planner for the UCD Academic Geriatric Resource Center and is the administrator for a 5-year, 4 million dollar Palliative Care Curriculum Project funded by the National Cancer Institute. The web-based, interactive, video-enriched cases will be implemented into the curricula at six medical schools in California. He teaches in the required Doctoring seminar courses in the School of Medicine and the School of Veterinary Medicine. He currently is also a board member of the California Coalition for Compassionate Care. Mark has provided clinical services and administered programs in long-term care, trauma, critical care, and hospice. He also designed and provided care coordination services for the frail elderly from a primary care setting. He has delivered several hundred talks nationally at hospitals and medical schools from New York to Hawaii; served as a member of a multi-disciplinary pain consultation team; was a consulting member of a Bioethics consultation team; directed a medicare certified JCAHO accredited hospice program and; was founding board member of the California State Hospice Association. |
